The Washington Redskins have a very tough schedule when you consider they must play the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles twice a season.

The defensive unit for Washington seemed solid on paper, but hasn’t been showing up (I don’t count the Rams game). The defenses in New York, Philadelphia, and Dallas are all stronger than that in Washington.

Their receivers (Santana Moss, Chris Cooley, etc.) are good, but not great. Maybe with a better QB, they would look great.

The Redskins are in a very tough division if you are a good team, if the Redskins keep playing like they have, a 6-10 season will be their destiny.

The television can definitely be used as a valuable tool in learning, tele-communications, and many other things. The Clemson Tigers used a touchdown pass on their first possession of overtime to upset the Miami Hurricanes 40-37 on Saturday night to cap a back and forth game. Miami kicked a field goal on their first possession of overtime to take the lead, but Clemson responded with a seldom used play on third and 11 to get the victory as quarterback Kyle Parker completed a 27 yard touchdown pass to Jacoby Ford.

College football betting devotees who backed Clemson as +4 road underdogs eventually cashed their tickets, but they definitely earned their money in a game that saw twelve lead changes and two ties. Clemson improved to 5-2 against the spread with the cover, while Miami dropped to 4-3 against the money. The 77 combined points sailed OVER the posted total of 43. Clemson QB Parker suggested that last week’s win over Wake Forrest was a turning point for his team:

“I think last week we realized that we could be really good and this week we acted on it. I thought we really got some explosive plays and we played well.”

Miami’s quarterback Jason Harris sounded a different tone in his postgame comments:

“This has to be my toughest loss here. We fought so hard throughout the game as a team and didn’t come out with the victory. We let Clemson outwork us, we turned the ball over too much — little things that made us get to this point.”

Clemson will host FCS foe Coastal Carolina next Saturday before resuming ACC play the following week at home against Florida State. They’ll travel to North Carolina State on November–. Miami plays two of their next three on the road, starting next weekend at Wake Forest. The Thief of Bagdad: An extraordinary fantasy of local boy Sabu outdoing the sinister sorcerer Veidt in Arabian Days. The thief of Bagdad is a myth with remarkable resiliency. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: A typical venture spectacle has Ford in fine form and Connery providing extra panache as Indy’s archaeologist dad, whose bizarre disappearance (when looking for the Holy Grail) sets the tale in motion. This intentionally old fashioned Saturday matinee has everything money can buy, however on no account seriously creates a sense of marvel and enthusiasm. This musical is based on a novel written by Gregory Maguire entitled “Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West”. This best-selling literature is actually written in parallel to the classical story entitled “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” by L. Frank Baum.

In the story, there are two witches, Elphaba, who will eventually become the wicked witch and Glinda, the supposedly good witch. These two witches became friends, although they have contrasting personalities and view points. Their friendship did suffer bumps and trials along the way of course. They do share one thing in common though – they both love the same guy.

The setting of the story happened before Dorothy arrived in Oz with the help of her ruby slippers. With that said, the audience could expect notable references, dialogues, and scenes in the equally popular “The Wizard of Oz” movie of 1939.

You need not see the story of Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz to appreciate this show and its plot. But those who simply love the classical tale are very much invited to see who the wicked witch of Oz really is. While you may think that she’s the person that made things miserable for the people at Emerald City, you might think differently about her after watching this entertaining Broadway show.

Before finding its way to New York, Wicked was first shown at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco. It debuted in May 2003 before being presented in Broadway five months after. The force behind this musical is none other than Universal Pictures and is under the direction of Joe Mantello. Musical staging credits go to Wayne Cilento.

In the US, Wicked is being shown not only in New York but in Los Angeles, St. Louis, and Chicago as well. It also has had a big opening in London, more particularly at the West End. A tour is also being held regularly, with the show already taken to Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, and Ohio, among others.

The main characters of the story, aside from the two witches are The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Madame Morrible, Fiyero, Nessarose, Boq, and Doctor Dillamond. Each one of these characters features a distinct singing voice in the play that makes the musical more entertaining and lively. The most popular numbers of the musical are “No One Mourns the Wicked”, “Dear Old Shiz”, “As Long as You’re Mine”, and “For Good”, among others.

Kids and adults would surely love this show simply because it is a very good one. The tale is rich and eventful, with the musical rendition quite memorable. Take your whole family to enjoy the performance. It is truly going to be a night of entertainment for all of you.
